you know what, you are always right no matter what you say or do you are always right you ask, "do i look beautiful?", i say, "yes, you do" then you say "you are simply flattering me and flattery can't get you anywhere" you ask, "how are you?" i say "quite fine, thank you" you say "you are lying, your face doesn't seem relaxed enough to be fine" you don't realise that it was eleven o' clock in the evening and i had been at work from 8 am till 10 pm you ask "do you really love me?" i say "i do love you more than anything else" you say "that's not completely true for i see a flicker in your eyes" you don't believe that a black sedan passed behind you that lend its moving gleam to my eyes you know what, you are always right no matter what you say or do you are always right and you know what, i am a moron for i am spend so much time trying to talk to you conversation is a two-way interface it's an art that fails to exist when i am always wrong and you are always right of course, that's why, you led me to the door and then pushed me away, thus, showing me the way, and the door shut on my face me out, and you in and outside it was raining and cold and i felt miserable but you said "you are not strong enough, not man enough to leave by your own and had to be shown the way" of course, you were always right and me, i was just a poor stupid fool who had fallen for your charms like a child to a sweet candy ------ Note: The title is the name of a song and album by Soul Asylum. Note: This is not personal... just me with my walking stick of imagination. |

"conversation is a two-way interface it's an art that fails to exist when i am always wrong and you are always right" There sure are a lot of these one-way conversations out there Sudhir, and you've captured the frustration in that very well in this piece. Much enjoyed the vantage you wrote this from my friend. Best wishes, /Kit |

Nicely told... sadly too true for so many..the one sided all about "me" attitude leads to isolation and alienation of the other... glad it is not personal... I've been there and it isn't any fun... |

Im glad this is happening to you right now sir Sudhir! There is a part of your poem that really caught my attention... "but you said "you are not strong enough, not man enough to leave by your own and had to be shown the way" That's a real slap in the face! Very good write..I think I will add this one to my library |
