My mother drives me crazy My hair is turning to gray My daughter is getting married My heart is fearful of them both going away. My mother is fearful of growing dependent My hair once brown now is dyed blonde My daughter is giddy with laughter And my heart aches at losing them both. I know my mother must pass on someday I know my hair will someday fade My daughter has a long life ahead of her And my heart is so afraid... Life goes round in circles Day in and day out You never can predict the future But only live for today. nope, it doesn't totally ryhme, but neither does my life right now..(But, I am still thankful for what I've got) |

Beautifully written. Life is like a circle, it never ends. Your poem doesn't rhyme all the way but neither does life! Loved it! |

It doesn't need to rhyme it speaks well without it. I kept nodding my head saying, "oh yes, I know just what she means" and life goes on in circles and we are just along for the ride. Very well done. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. [This message has been edited by Startime (edited 11-19-2001).] |

You are so right. Life does go in circles, always twisting and changing until we finally reach the end. Nice work! All writing comes |

I just want everybody to notice that Lorelei didn't mention my name ONCE when she was writing about her hair turning gray. This must mean I am not a scalawag after all. Doesn't it? Lorelei - you are the sweetest lil girl I know. I love your poem, too. |

Hey, Mike! She's worried about losing her mother. She's worried about losing her daughter. She's not worried about losing you. I think that says it all....in a very special way. (darned if I know why! ) |
