First Freeze purple petunia trumpets at rigid attention coated in glaze, sunflower~ tall, spindly, as petals weep toward earth, grass sprinkled with confectioner's sugar, kamikaze maple leaves leap to ground as stems melt their grips kitten huddles in tight, gray angora, as frost threatens whisker tips my elbows' edges sense mother nature's shiver, as shoulders draw them ever closer ©Nov 7, 2001 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Very nice! I liked that kitten in angora, and those elbows moving in closer. |

Beautifully done! I wish it would freeze here. Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since |

Loved this VAS! Especially the kamikaze maple leaves....seen tons of those in my life, and we use to play with the helicopter seeds they spread... Haven't see the beauty of your poem around here yet though...waiting... jwesley |

Kamikaze? Doesn't that mean divine wind? I really liked this. Enjoy the coming snow I've never seen! "The smallest feline is a masterpiece." |

thank you ALL!!! I was thrilled to see this surface again...I really think it will be one of my favorites re. Kamikaze...I was thinking of the Kamikaze pilots of WW II that flew their planes into targets, committing suicide in an 'altruistic way' Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
