It's funny, if you stop to think. The way our values change. As decades pass... as fashions go- I find it rather strange. When he is young, a man must have- At least a beauty queen. Preferably with hair of red- And eyes of emerald green. But give him ten, and he will find- There's not that much to looks. He'll even go for "rather plump"- Providing that she cooks. Ten more years, and what we have... Is quite a loss of pride- And he will gladly take a lass, If she'll walk at his side. Beauty is all in the skin- Or so I've heard them say... I am a romantic fool- And beauty fades away... Give me one who clearly sees- That I have feet of clay. Prone to folly, and mistakes, And loves me anyway. Give me one who knows that I- Have no semantic art... And words are really not my gift- But knows and loves my heart. Give me one who knows that I Am weak, I am not strong- And I will give her all my heart, And dwell with her, life-long. |

John, I wish you the best of luck in achieving your wish.. yes.. pride does fade with the years.. i pity the man who relies on his pride. You know, it takes strengh in a man to admit that he is weak. ;-) |
