  Make Ready

It is dark now
The flowers fold
The slumbering due makes ready

Across the valley
A wild dog howls
The echo of time is steady

Breathe in with wonder
Listen to sound
Walk on road splendor
Wear a heart gown

Drink of the water
Smell the damp earth
Ring in the New Year
For each day is new birth

Brother make tender
The hand of the clock
Sister be strong for
In you there is rock
____________

Happy New Year to all!
