"TAKES SO LONG" a duet by Kethry & Bill Charles ~~~~ It takes so long to heal a shattered heart To cease the tears, which fall like endless rain And look for new beginnings one can start Learning to walk the path of life again A fragile heart, is not that hard to break It too rains tears, not only from ones eyes The mist hides beginnings, as a cloud Wondering if the path, is only to agonize Throughout all time the cost of love is dear And no one knows the ending at the start But one must try to love, although it's clear It takes so long, to mend a shattered heart Love comes and goes, perhaps it is a game Not knowing the ending, from the start To love again, will it open once more Or will a broken heart, always be apart They say the price of love is never fair Eternally redressing, this is our task But shattered hearts can make one unaware Just give your world a shake, before you ask What may be fair, what may be just Forever trying, perhaps you're the answer A heart torn into tiny pieces cries inside Perhaps you will heal it, sometime after I looked for love to heal my shattered heart No one showed me the way from endless night Until you came to me, and did your part In loving you I cease, to wake in fright No further need you search, to heal For a light shines, not darkness anymore I come into your life, giving myself to you And I will love you, unlike anything before Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Bill darling boy and Keth darling sister of my soul, what can I say except this is incandescent. Truly you two have created a super nova. That's it I'm not going to write anymore.
