If I were a turkey who’d made it to this date I’d be one grateful bird, partying hard, sleeping late Another year to gobble with what’s left of my foul friends A round of seasons, barkeep, keep ‘em rolling in If I were a hog who’d made it to this date Still fat and oh so juicy, I’d be fearing for my fate Seems I’m the entrée to devour on this New Year’s eve If love and luck be yours, it’s on me that you must feed If I were a man who’d made it to this date My heart, mind and soul witnessing all that they can take I’d hope that for a moment, though not one that was earned I could whisper ‘Happy New Year’ and be heard around the world |

WOW Duncan, that's a great poem to end 2001. It will be New Year in 3,5 hours in the Netherlands. I'm still baking all the ol' stuff my family used to do and making warm wine (in a very old kettle) to drink. Family tradition and recipie.
