Sitting alone writing a poem
Tears are near each time I begin
But before you think of me
Look around and you will understand

Each rose opens to eyes of happiness
Or at times to hearts of sadness
The winds that whistle pass as you wonder
Has been the sounds to many a loner

The silent tears you cry as you shiver
In the dark of the night sitting in a corner
In a room that once bloomed in laughter
Now but memories of times shared gone forever

The colours of the rainbow is not mine alone
And the butterflies you seek in your sorrow
Will bring you some comfort for the tomorrow
And when the flowers break open the stone

Be upstanding and joyful
For my heartaches you share
The tears I allow to flow
Deep in your sorrow, you know

That each moment of sadness
Opens your inner soul to words
Promise never to stop the flow
Verses await you

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
