What's up in the New year eve night?
Be it on the street drinking
Or missing lover on bedside,
A year is going to be passed by,
and sun is going to raise again
as moon fallen to the horizon.

How should we live
the remaining days of the years-
In drinks, in tears,
of regret, of solemn,
Or in reflection, in understanding,
of peace, of silence?

Do we live with thanks,
Or with fastidious mind?
Do we confess only with our tongue
Yet idle to act upon our words?
Do we desire to spend our days
In regret, in loss, or in pain?

I'll be spending it at home, with a few pina colodas, reflecting on all the events in my life over the past year. Happy New Year, be safe and have a good time.

Eliza, this is one of the most thoughtful poems I've read about New Year's reflections and resolutions. I will be at home with my daughter. She will celebrate with Sparkling Apple Cider and her music, and I will toast a glass of wine to Love, and a prayer for Peace and Unity.
You have a wonderful heart and mind, and we are all lucky you share your thoughts with us at Pips. Have a wonderful and safe New Year's eve and day, and a peaceful 2002.
