Daffodil
By: Noah Eaton
12/29/01

Sweet daffodil
Of your eyes
Facilitating the winds
Hearing what only the rainbows can direct

Sweet daffodil
Troubadour of my heart
Hail to the angels
And lead me to heavens gate

Your eyes are
Mesmerizing
Romanticizing
Fantasizing
Petrifying
Laced in latex
Lathered in satin
Resting on your laurels
My sweet silk maiden

Her lemonade afterglow
Her maraschino cherry smile
Seducing me to her charms
This facsimlle of a dream becomes worth while

Tonight the moon is like a sedan chair
Let destiny carry us through these seasons
Upon this recumbent meadow of daffodils
Where in your shamrock bed I find loves reasons

Sweet daffodil
Recite your golden cello
And kiss me softly in this maple spring
My sweet meadow soprano...

Noah,

This was so beautiful! But that
is exactly what I've come to
expect of your work. Just lovely work!
I have missed reading your poetry. So
glad I got to read some today. Take care
hon.

As a youngster, the daffodil inspired many dreams for me.  Wonderful poem, Noah.

You have a distinct talent for painting with words, Noah, and I hope you never stop writing. You will have a treasure chest of verses from your heart at a young age.
THis is very beautiful

Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers, Noah and this is an exquisite poem.
Full of romantic imagery and so well written.
Have a great New Year.
