In my heart you will always be my darling upon my lips you were the breath of night I was but a flame dancing upon the lonely wick of moonlight Sometimes I wish I had never met you but than I would never know the ultimate feeling of love feeling of basking in loves glo I became alive with the very thought of you melting within the whispers of your voice like a magnolia candle bright melting down the shaft of midnight Did you know I could starve to death with you? feeding only on our fruits of passion in the warmth of your arms forever quenching your thirst with satisfaction I asked nothing of you except the reflection of your smile in my heart you will always be my darling your vision upon my pillow at night They say truly to love is to forgive and I forgave you long ago I waited a lifetime for this feeling maybe someday she will know in my heart you will always be my darling you called me your sweet Texas rose but now I drift within petals in the winds lost somewhere in a teardrop of afterglow |
