In the mystery of the early morning
Before the first yawning
Huddled in a room alone, but with me
I search for a reason to begin the day

Fresh from a long night of deep thoughts
I wash the sweat from my weakened face
Staring at the misery that is now me
The signs of and traces of my yesterday

The sun has risen, and in the distance
Lies a tomorrow I need to find, my peace
Climbing back along the hills of my sorrows
I wish not witness memories of bad tomorrows

I will walk again amidst pain and sadness
But I know now how the music goes
Because life's lyrics asks for melodies
That can only be heard in harmonies

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

I was reading this while listening to the Top Gun theme on my pc, and the music enhanced the poem quite a bit. It was kinda cool. You've done a great job! Keep up the good work.

funny, I am listening to George Winston's version of "the dance" by Garth Brooks, ( GW is piano music, no vocals) and that went very well with this I like this very much

Daniel, if you need a friend, please feel free to email me ok?  This really got to me.  I have been in this place and hope this is just a "muse".  I'm going to be away for a few days and I just read this and had to respond.

This is so beautifully written, but with such painful sad imagery of loneliness. This was particularly outstanding, and profoundly true for most people:

"But I know now how the music goes
Because life's lyrics asks for melodies
That can only be heard in harmonies"

This struck a very deep chord. I hope the new year will bring you peace and harmony.
