~ Reflections On My Year ~ I can’t believe another year has gone by so fast It doesn’t seem that long since I stood here last The year has brought so much, both smiles and tears But all in all it’s been one of the remarkable years I started it with my heart lying in pieces on the floor I thought I’d be chained, bound there for evermore But with the help of my friends I gathered up me And set about putting those pieces back carefully Another year over, it doesn’t feel twelve months long Since I was singing that Robbie Burns song The year progressed I started to feel once again Although I believe I will always remember the pain But that is good it taught me what I needed to know That sometimes love is more than a flashy glitter show Usually if you can see love when he looks at you Then you’ll know that this love is absolutely true The year is fading fast now it’s almost completely gone And I’ve learnt that eventually hearts do move on That long lost love that I believed was truly true It was nothing when I think of how I feel for you I know now that the world is coloured in rainbow light And I’m dressed from head to toe in sparkling starlight Your words don’t need wrapping in smoky dreams lace Just the words I love you set my heart speeding apace A New Year and I wonder what it will bring to me Will I continue in my life and love quite happily? I'll try to live each moment when it comes, no holding back I’ll be cheerful and not moan about whatever I lack The sun will shine on me and yes the rain will fall And I will relish my life and will heed loves call I thank HIM for giving me the trials and also the tears For it is they which equip me for the coming years Marsha Happy New Year To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 [This message has been edited by Marsha (12-28-2001 07:07 PM).] |

Yes, you certainly are sparkling aren’t you? It certainly sounds like it has been a wonderful year for you. Keth darling sister of my soul, what would I have done without you darling girl. I know we play a dueling game here darling but I want to take the chance to say YOU are a fabulous sister of heart darling No one knows how much you mean to me, but maybe they have an idea. Without you dearest Keth I would have stayed down I think. It was certainly you who held my hand and stood me up again. The sparkle you see darling one is the reflection of the stars in your eyes. 'Deer dear heart thank you, you have added to the fun this year has been. Your poetry has kept me hugely entertained, when I haven't been laughing I've been sobbing. Now that is the mark of a true poet. Someone who involves his readers, who carries them with them throughout his stories. Dave darling boy, well a lot of water has passed under the brigde kid. I could say a lot about it but I won't. Don't go looking back kid, learn from your mistakes and move on that's what I say.
