You read my words
and  so saw me
beyond my subterfuge;
past the coy analogies
and metaphor of ruse.

With one insightful statement
I knew my game was done.
Yet much to my surprise—
Delight!
We had just begun.

An introduction to a girl—
no, a woman, like myself.
“Dance with her” you offered,
“you seem to know her well.”
Although she was quite willing
to join me for a drink;
I was beyond my element—
she proved too much for me to think.

So you see me naked now,
and I don’t really mind…
You’re my captain.
I’m your crew.
The sailing is sublime.

Though you are there
and I am here.
somehow we do connect.
Forever, love, friends we shall be
More to us, and more to ME
Than mere sport of sex.

serenity - I thought and thought about your question. Thinking about all of the poets. But I couldn't come up with an answer, unless it was me...

grinning like a wild woman...lol

nope, nope, nope...

Here is a clue for ya! After reading this poet's work, I sent him an e mail (and I must paraphrase as I tend to be recycle-bin happy):

Subject: Maybe?

Body of letter: I am...be?

BIG CLUE!!!

If it isn't RON
It could well be LNGJOHN
He is the captain and you are his crew
No? Another guy? Well I could name a few
There's ol'Balldeer and Seymour Tabin
Bill, Mark, Duncan, Krawdad, did I win???

A joy to read your poem

Wow, this is really cool! I love this one Karen,  but what is this new challenge? I've been skipping in and out of here the past two days and must have missed something! Now everyone is writing mysterious cyber love or lost lovers poems?

The poem is nice, and the replies are interesting... hahaha.
And no, I still can't guess who you are writing about, and I tried SmartSearch but I can't find anything...
