As the year comes to an end All those special moments locked within Of days I have shared my heart with you And even shed a tear with you We have prayed together Asking for answers to come quickly into view This has been a year in our life That was deeply devastated With the loss of so many lives With the loss of husbands and wives Some of us have lost family and friends But with the tragedy came a new end A new unity began ~ among fellow man When we joined worldwide to take a stand With songs to God ~ hearts searched deep And now our flags fly high Though the end is not in sight We may never really under stand Why these events took place We are living only by God’s grace For only one being knows Our fate The Lord Almighty God Lord, Give us this day the want to do thy will Give us the power to cure the world’s ill Give us love and compassion for our fellow man Help us Lord to do thy bidding These things we ask in your name amen Cheryl and Alan [This message has been edited by Cheryl Flemming (12-28-2001 06:50 PM).] |
