The holidays I love the deep feelings. Well most of them, for some will take a hold of you in a clamp of despair mostly in the fears of loneliness

The demon of depression got a hold of me again
Its venom struck deep into me
Creating another scar within the mind
To have to be reminded with
As it tore into me
No reason would do
To raise my spirits into the heavens

The final solution was that sleep drifted me off
And it is in the reality of my dreams
That my words came out
To chase away the beast
For it seems it cannot handle the truth
That lives in the light of our souls
It is the will to survive the fright of living

In simple steps I created the notes within
That played into the music of the mind
As the playing marches along
It slowly raises the spirits within
And as the words were being put to these notes
An inner smile comes creeping out
In the dawn of renewed emotions
That carried up instead of down
For the whips of my inner garden started to bloom again
In the creativity that devastates the gloom within

Ride the day again in what you have to offer
For your words of depth will open the eyes
Of those who want to ride your thoughts
To those special places you create for them
And in the magic of words blessing their souls
The darkness of their inner beasts will not devour them
But in fact create a beast to think from
In new images that fly the skies of their mind
In the greatest fireworks known
Along with a waterfall of rainbow flashbacks
Setting fire to the spirits
Dancing within

I like this, and understand that holiday depression. Seems that you brought a beautiful rainbow out of it.

I know the feeling! Holidays are supposed to be so happy but sometimes I feel myself being depressed around that time. I get myself out of it by just reminding myself that it is good to be alive!

The music of the soul and heart really do lift spirits. I like what you wrote, and thank you for sharing it.

"Ride the day again in what you have to offer
For your words of depth will open the eyes
Of those who want to ride your thoughts
To those special places you create for them
And in the magic of words blessing their souls"

May the ripple of LOVE
become the wave of PEACE
