My lady...ever faithful to you, your needs.
I watch from below your room, always.
Though cold, hungry...I shall not fail you.
For you...you dearest lady... are my life.

Even as the sun sets beyond the mount,
I am here..here below, I'll not leave.
For leaving hurts me so, I can not.
I am here...here I shall ever remain.

You, your smile, flowing auburn hair...
The softest lips of all the land before you.
Shoulders, gracefully hidden beneath silk.
The swell of your bosom taunting me.

A name....if only I were allowed to say..
I would proclaim my love, by your name.
Could I...I certainly would....for all time.
For the beauty of the word is indescribable.

Rest each night...know that you are safe.
Know that beneath your tower...I....I am here.
Sleep in dreams of love, for love awaits you.
Let love take you to crystal falls to me.

I yearn to see you, to once  touch your face.
This feeling shall not ebb, does not wane.
I vow to keep you safely in my arms, as one.
For...as one...love is complete...eternal...

UH OH...Sue...you are doing it again...
swooning...I don't want you to fall and
hurt yourself...

One of the most romantic poems you have ever
read....Let me read that over again...Wow..
I feel honored by that statement...

I do enjoy writing of the Maid in the tower
above...I think I did this in a past life
and it is just such fun...

*sigh* how incredibly beautiful. I love it.

The maid in your tower looks down
tears shining in her eyes
They fall unheeded on silk gown
with heart and soul she cries

Her arms stretching out to embrace
wanting her love to show
Craving your kiss that she may taste
he who guards her below

*sigh* I just could not help but respond as I know your maiden would. Absolutely magnificent, Barry. **hugs** more please.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Sigh, what a wonderful story for all of the prince-less maids out here. Would you please clone yourself for the rest of us??

Oh, come on, Magnus!  You're too good to grovel!  I'm waiting to see you try a broader range of topics; you clearly have the life experiences to justify writing on a variety of subjects.

And incidentally I want to thank you for the submarine anecdote in reference to my "Hunger!") poem.

With all best wishes,

well done. . . very well done. . . be still my foolish heart. . .

I love the flow and the way the words fall off the page. . .

This is definitely a romantic poem that shows the deep commitment that the character (perhaps you?) have for the lady in the tower. Deeply moving and inspires one to write a short little romance story about a brave knight and his ever faithful lady. Great work!
