Resolutions are made every year
I usually have ten

Yet less than half is fulfilled
almost zero per cent

I will keep the number low this time
four would be enough

I will have them all fulfilled
lest I should stop myself

I resolve to be more optimistic
   smile happily everyday

I resolve to be more committed
   sparing more time for others

I resolve to be more proactive
   choosing my own route

I resolve to be more active
   jogging in the mornings

Here I shall end my ramblings
hoping I have the will

Wonder if I could fulfil any
but of course I will

Mon Cherie,

brought a chuckle to my face...such humour!..think you are beginning to write yourself in your musings(which is always kewl )

anyway, i did think of jogging more often as a new year's resolution but i need to buy a new pair of running shoes before i can jog and i need to earn money before i can buy and i need...the vicious cycle continues...

These resolutions sound good to me, I wish I could keep my resolutions.

Mistletoe Angel: Noah, thank you! May you have all the joy in the world too!

peaches73533: Yeah, I hope so too. In fact, I found the list of 10 resolutions I made last year, and surprisingly, I actually fulfilled half of it. Not too de-moralising now.

Poet deVine & Bill Charles:
Heh. That goes without saying. I've become addicted to this place. I can't come online often, but at least when I do, I stay for quite some time to read the postings.

faterider: Thanks! Someone told me not long ago to write about personal experiences. Good advice coz I don't have to crack my brains thinking of something to write about.

And yes, don't worry abt that vicious cycle. I'm sure you can break free when u get a part-time

Hypnosis: Randy, I'm sure you can do it!! Maybe you can look at your list every now and then so you can remind yourself.

Now, my old list of resolutions...

1. To make more new friends (I did)

2. To study really hard (I THINK I did... hehe)

3. Staying in touch with my friends in Singapore even when I'm in Australia (I didn't stay in touch often enough)

4. I should fulfil every promise I made (I think I've left some out here and there)

5. Be brave enough to pursue my dreams (I still don't know about that)

6. To lose weight (Disastrous!! )

7. To spend my time meaningfully in Australia (I've done that by travelling around more, and reading up on lots of other stuff, and writing poetry)

8. Try to build up my self-confidence and self-esteem (I'm not too sure about this either)

9. To be happy with my life and not let other people's comments put me down (I think I've made progress here)

10. To be good to my family or JUZ be good (Hehehe... I think I'm good enough )

So there...   Long read...
