The bows are kept after paper is torn,
Sweet were the moments of giving surprise,
Videos are watched and new cloths are worn,
Some need returns for a different size.

Cuddles on the couch with red wine from France,
Meat and cheese basket from Hickory farms,
Slippers, robes and then a new dress for a dance,
Perfume and make-up to enhance your charms.

There are little gifts from friends far away,
Cards are reread reminding us once more,
With greetings and wishes for love this day,
Taping them around the frame of the door.

Bits of wrapping scattered everywhere,
But to sleep one last unwrapping to share.

Bill
