I’m not all that you think, or know
Only what is seen, what I show
Just a slight glimmer, of the sea
light reflections, mirroring me

Images viewed from inner glass
True emotions  you’ll not trespass
Many facets, each one is real
Each portrays different, how I feel

Sights of shimmer, change with the day
Visions revealed in word’s portray
Glimpses given of hidden heart
Never whole, only offered, part

Poetically peeking, inside
The rest for now, I choose to hide

I do believe this is the first poem I have read from you, and I do believe that I like it.
I'm a loser with words lately... So thats all I'm gonna say.

I always thought you were a poet at the peek of her career!

Actually, this is excellent. We all show bits and pieces and what others may see but there is so much more to all of us...a great reason why judgements should be at a minimum. You say it well, dear SEA

Love the poem and the picture, Butterfly Beach by Richard Yaco
Nice writing SEA.

SEA,
Too ironic. My response in the Grinch poem was before I read this! Hmmmm. Seems I'm on the right track. Loved this poem. We are all more complex then we let on.

There is much to see beyond the rhymes
for one who reads between the lines.
Poetry can be a reflection true
a window with a view to the heart & soul of you.

How true, through poetry we do reveal quite a lot about ourselves, but sometimes we also hold other parts of us back. I know myself, I have written some poems that I don't post, but keep for myself, because they tell a little too much. We all have to have our little secret selves.
