I'm drinking, yet not getting drunk
I'm swimming where my ship had sunk
I'm walking though my feet still hurt
I'm seeing clear where all is blurred
I'm planting seeds where trees are dying
I'm hearing truth where all are lying
I'm running where the time stands still
I'm just a toy where all is real
I'm seeking truth inside your eyes
Where even truth wears a disguise
I'm yelling, no one hears my call
Or did I lie about it all?

I'm drunk although I wasn't drinking
The ship is floating, but I'm sinking
My feet are hurting when I'm standing
I cannot see, I'm just pretending
Where all is flourishing I'm dying
I'm hearing lies where all are lying
I'm still where everything's in motion
Where all is fake, I feel emotions
I'm seeking answers in disguise
And losing sense inside your eyes
Unless I'm yelling, I can't hear
I guess that this was more sincere

But know that it was all this way
I drank and I was drunk that day
My ship and I were slowly sinking
While I was walking I was thinking
I saw the stars so brightly glowing
I planted seeds where trees were growing
I thought that lies and truth were one
I spun and with me planets spun
The rest, like I, were full of feeling
The truth was simple and appealing
Inside your eyes I found the world
And you explained that silence's gold.

The title doesn't do this one justice. It's very good, with expressive imagery. This is especially powerful:
"I'm seeking answers in disguise
And losing sense inside your eyes
Unless I'm yelling, I can't hear
I guess that this was more sincere"

Hey...love this, but there's an old blues song that is almost my anthem, "I ain't drunk---I'm just drinkin'!"

Had to pop in Master, to tell ya I loved this one!
