you caught me
watching your lips
today;
i was standing close
by your side
watching them
as they moved around inaudible words
and through silent sentences
directed at someone else;
their thin coat of
pale pink lipstick
warmed my thoughts
and colored my imagination
with fiery fantasies
(most inappropriate
for an office meeting);
then
just for an instant
you stopped
and looked
and caught me
deep in thought
wondering
how they would feel.
