I will never see you again,
stares up at me now
that I have given the words
more than thought by
giving them to paper.

I will never see you again.
silently mocking me,
challenging me to give breath
to the agony which my hand
has bled.

I will never see you again,
dark  companion to the sun.
They come as one each morning
to offer their blinding insights
as a waking gift.

I will never see you again,
hides tomorrow with  the
hopelessness it represents,
my sun only shines on
your yesterday.

I will never see you again,
drowns every other thought,
dominates any written word
coming before, after, or
anywhere near.

I will never see you again,
once thought of as possibility,
now written in admission,
yet will always remain
unspeakable and unspoken.

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

The permanence of those words is really something.  I like the way this poem reflects the process we begin, to reach the ultimate goal of acceptance.  It paints the turmoil we feel and the questioning of the situation.  Great write!!!

Sad for what is lost
Glad for what is found
Brutal love,
Prometheus bound.

Don't know why, but this poem I wrote long ago seems to belong to you now.

amusemi--thanks for thinking so

midnitesun-- thanks, that is kind of you to offer-- here is a tidbit--Ron offered everyone a chance to change their names awhile back-- I took him up on the offer. My old name?--
Prometheus

Aha, so now if I go into the archives, will I see Prometheus? bound, or unbound?

Midnitesun-- I am afraid a Promethean search would prove unfruitful--all are now under this name- bound- unbound- and rebound.

Sea-- Thanks, you are a kind soul. How is my 12 stepping friend? I noticed a slip or two awhile back...heh

If only you could tear up that piece of paper and throw it away...tis a sad poem you've penned here my friend. If I could take away the pain, I would. If I could change the outcome...I would.

Jamie--"Never" is a word I don't recognize, and to see has so many meanings.  There are evers and evers, other places, times and lives yet to be known.  This poem makes me ache though, for what you feel and the way you write your heart with this poem.  My best to you!

Powerfully written Jamie, with such a finality throughout the flow of these tender lines. Very beautifully composed.

Merry Christmas to you ...
