Lucie’s on the Run
By Larry Chadwick

Lucy has been struck with fear,
She’s runnin’ from the Balladeer.
All she did was watch a fight,
Now she’s hidin’ just from fright.

I hope she comes up with a plan,
‘Cause she’s runnin’ from a man.
Probably she has no place to go,
That the deer doesn’t already know.

Comical it is to me just the same,
To see Lucie without her game.
But if she know what’s for the best,
She’ll get a man to help her with the test.

So this whole thing is looking serious,
Lucie is alread sounding quite deliriuos.
But I suppose the deer will let her off the hook,
Even though I’d like to see him throw the book.

Afterall, this jousting thing is just for sport,
Lucie is really begging for the deers retort.
Balladeer she is really pleading for a fight,
So do her a favor and start it yet tonight.

Lucie said, and I quote:

"Sweet Balladeer I must admit I was always on your side.
(But now that he is done with Kev, I better run and hide.)
Your the best, a genius, no smarter man around!
(I better find a place thats far so I can not be found.)
The way you took that youngster on, and so quickly you were through.
(I am gettin nervous now, don't know what he could do.)
My Balladeer, He will win! I told that Midnitesun!
(I just know he'll find me though, there's nowhere I can run.)
I saw them placin' bets yanno, I said they should have stopped.
(I never should have bet on Kev. My whole paycheck got dropped.)
I knew you'd be the Champion, the ruler of that ring!
(I knew I never shoulda said that kiss my hiney thing!)"

LOL, trying to stir up another rumble? or just put it back into overdrive?
Lucie's gonna tan your hide, you know that don't you? And I'm brave. I'll still stand behind Kev. (Notice where I said I'd stand?)
LOL. This is better than any TV shows, except West Wing.

Midnitesun,
I'm the oldest of three boys and by far the smallest. But I was always the toughest. I got a longer arm span. That reach always came in handy. Did you say trouble?

p.s. go check out the Lucy thread by Irish Rose again.

I'm reading in the wrong order...so I'm (only) half lost here.  But knowing a bit of this history, think I know what's up.
I applaud you, Larry.  Notice how the tough ones always run first.

Duncan,
You're absolutely right. I was impressed how long you waited to run in that kissing line!

Believe me, Larry, Lucie doesn't run from any man.
She's hiding out there somewhere hatching out some evil plan.
I've seen that gal in action...watched poetic bodies fall
Whenever Lucie gets the urge to hit them with her all.
She's setting me up for the kill, pretending to show fear
While working on some evil plot to get old Balladeer.

Balladeer,
It seems it has become a gender war,
Lucie is giving all the men what for.
But we are men who are strong and brave,
And will occasionally come out of our cave.
So now it seems like more of a waiting game,
Seeing which victim that next she will name.
It could be Balladeer or maybe even Larry,
But I'm inclined to think it won't be Mary.

See, aren't we patient?
