When Poets Cry
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When poets cry it's written
..in their verse
For every lover of the art
to read.
Where deep emotions
..suddenly transverse
From heart to heart
the message does proceed.
And as the words are placed
..upon the page
Each lacrimenting syllable
speaks out
The inner thoughts of joys,
..and woes and sage
In a whisper, or a prayer,
or a shout.
When poets cry, the world
..cries with them too.
Embracing what the writer
tries to say.
Absorbing all the feelings
..in review,
While wiping
every touching tear away.
Then once again
..another poem is read,
With words that may
invoke a tear or two.
For the poets cry
..using words instead,
Expressing all that's
in their hearts so true.
Joyce, this is beautiful writing...and very true. To know how a poet is feeling, one only needs to read his/her poetry and it is all there.....every time. Best wishes to you...
Wonderful and awesome Joyce! Of course we poets/authors cry, it has something to do with the deep emotions that we have, the ones that help to express our feelings in poetry....Wonderful and thank you! xxxxx
Joyce,
some times poet 'open books' have too many words...but not in this case. Beautiful!
