A Wish To Last To all who know me not The poor my dear friends I wish you comfort I come to you with open hands You are the most important For in your hour of need I will stand in the way of greed And I will give you my love this instant You never show anger You are shy in your misery The world cannot put you aside forever Your hurt clarify your dignity I wish you my poor friends a happy Christmas May this wish bring you everlasting peace Wipe away the tears of your hunger You are closer to heaven than many other Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love |
