she can no longer be...reminded |

Remember her in your quiet time just before you drift off when your smile fades into sleep and maybe you think back…to when, and why. Remember her when you think pleasant thoughts, love and laughter and sharing, butterflies and giggles, warmth and joy….and some tears tears from loving and being unable to fulfill that love…. but she can no longer be, she can just no longer be…reminded... Remember…please? Whether it’s five, seven, and eight or even ten years from now, remember she never meant to hurt you. She truly did not mean to hurt you. Sometimes a woman has to write herself out and when the ink is dry and the pen shakes in her hand, she knows, she just knows that she can no longer do it. It is humanly impossible to continue….. Sometimes she has to return to a place where she first began….when others called her a fool, well, you see there is this place, this time, this moment passed though it may be, and small though it may be and it contains a voice that could not find the words….because real love simply could not find the words. Real love is beyond expressing and so that’s how and why she will always believe. But when you read this last line…. dip far into the well where truth is, ah, it is at that point that the final words matter more than anything else you ever read in your life. So, please…. remember that she really did love you. she really did love you. She always will. |

Oftentimes we wonder if we were truly loved when that love is gone. I think we know in our hearts we were, yet we cannot allow ourselves to admit it. Why? The pain of the loss is too great so we cope by trying to fool ourselves into thinking we were never truly loved. Great write, emily. You speak words of wisdom. All writing comes |

emily, Such painfully true words. You resurrected an ache in my heart from long ago before your poem was even done. Wow, so well written. Sin isn't fair, but God got even, grace isn't fair either. larry c |
