Woe the moments I have stood and endured
in search of an instance just per chance.
For splendors you have used to me allured
and taken from my eyes with just a glance.

I stand beneath the precipice without rest...
in hopes that a melody will grace my ears.
My love to you, I shamefully have confessed
has sadly been avoided, brought these tears.

Yet..though the clock does toll repeatedly
I can only wait in hope of another hour.
My love wanes not, shall true ever be.
My coolest fresh milk does not yet sour.

And if you do glance, see my heart below.
Take a moment to cast a rose at my feet.
I shall not touch for my duty keeps it so.
My torn heart, wildy churning does beat.

A day breaks new upon the morn in chill
as wings above to the clear heaven flies.
I wish to you I could give, and I will.
Till cruel death does darken my soul's eyes.

Unrequited love ... sometimes the yearning for what we can't have makes us the strongest.  But it can also bring us close to breaking.  Beautifully written.

A rose I now toss at your feet
with a wink and a smile
Our yearning eyes 'cross the room meet
desiring all the while

*giggling wickedly* now don't worry, Barry....the oysters just put me in a very strange mood....*grin* I love this poem and just had to reply that way. **Hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

This is a good one, Barry, but never throw a rose!!!!!!!
