Tadpoles singing As I lay wide-eyed, sleep bleary Lying straightly in my bed I hear the sound of Tadpoles singing Tadpoles singing in my head Intently listen to the chorus Here upon the edge of dream Tadpoles singing, "please ignore us" Make me want to run and scream Lips sealed by sleep here in the night-time Tadpoles have their full domain They sing of lilies and of growing Singing out in full refrain First they sway and snigger softly Sweet stagnation in my head Gaining ground those glowing globules Sing siren songs by which I'm led In the darkness - softly, slowly I hear their song in harmony deep They sing a song of constant growing I see their legs before I sleep Singing, growing in the darkness Winning ground for game and set See the tadpoles swiftly singing Soon to be a frog quartet Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Keth darling sister of my soul, and collector of my tears, I really love this poem it is UTTERLY utterly fabulous. Yes I know I always say that but then you always write to utter perfection. I was going to sau yes well I s'pose this is okay and will halt any tears, unless they are tears of laughter and delight. Are you wonderful? Is the sky still the home of the sun, does the sea still lap the shore? Then yes darling you are wonderful Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 |
