The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-12-19 09:59 PM

Through misty clouds of absent love
arrives my answer from above
A knock upon the broken door
to prove again, what was before.

He came through time to make a stand
to love with me, to be my man
on horse of white, his valiant steed
he shows himself, just who I need.

In fantasy, he's cloaked in gold
his purpose, to tell stories old
of days of wine, and knights of rose
of open heart, no longer closed.

A moonbeam lit, to show his way
to happiness returned today
but only if I sleep it through
for with the dawn, my loss..anew.

What a wonderful piece you've written here.  I, too, often wish I could hold on to those dreams for just a few more minutes.  Lovely!

Oh so sad, but don't you just love those dreams while they last?  Sandra, this was a treat to read, it flowed beautifully.

When we least expect it, our dreams may not come true but they can be fulfilled.
You sound content.

I wish you much happiness and joy.
Happy Holidays Sandra.

Sandra,

I love rhyme with perfect flow.  You do it so well.   And what a nice dream, too.

It may be only me, but I didn't see that ending coming. The story kept me intrigued to read on to the next stanza. I enjoyed reading this.

Sandra, this flows so softly, like a quiet dream on a misty night. Hug those pillows and keep dreaming, and writing.

catalinamoon - a great flow of words, telling as always. A twist thrown at the ending that I didn't expect when you woke. Nicely done...
