She walks alone through darkest night her crimson cloak blows round her face no longer is it worth the fight for all is gone without a trace. She walks alone under the stars her pointed boots tap out her pain it seems her love is lost afar and nothing can hold back the rain. She walks alone in shadows deep her spirit bent like twisted bough still seeking a new dream to keep she prays to find, not knowing how. She's walking on, still so alone her misted hopes remain unknown. |

(big hugggsssssssss) Such sweet sorrow and yearning fill this gorgeous sonnet, dearest friend! (sigh) Very soon, out of the unknown, you will find the most beautiful love that will take your heart by suprise and sweep you off your feet and bring sunshine to your heart and make all your dreams come true! (smiles) I believe in you, sweet friend!!! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet Sandra! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Solitude...WOW! I have felt this, and yearned for this, and run from this. There is nothing like a moments repite (by a huge body of water-for me) to pull those emotions out of our soul. Great paint! [This message has been edited by amusemi (12-18-2001 03:34 PM).] |

And from the darkness comes the dawn where catalinamoon walks on (Your poetry gives me ideas . . . I think I'll go work on this one. Thanks, cat.) "As soon as the generals and the politicos can predict the motions of your mind, lose it." Wendell Berry |

She walks alone through darkest night her crimson cloak blows round her face no longer is it worth the fight for all is gone without a trace. ======================== haunting aching imagery Cat... your cadence made this a treat to read. a bittersweet beauty you have penned here. jm You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do. |

I love your work! I like ti even more when it gets more positive "She walks in beauty like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies and all that is best meet in her aspect and her eyes." Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

You may walk alone through a night, but you do not walk alone through life. There are always friends beside you. Lovely poem, though sad and reflective. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

A very touching piece...These lines touched me most... She walks alone under the stars her pointed boots tap out her pain ... She's walking on, still so alone her misted hopes remain unknown. ~~~~~~~ The sense of loneliness here seems overwhelming.... Thank you ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

catalinamoon - I felt this inside when I read it. Perhaps it was to close to home. Well written... BC |

Sandra; I am glad I have come back here.. I certainly miss reading your work.. this is an amazing piece. I had almost forgotten how much I connect with your writings and how I can almost feel your emotions; as they often remind me of my own. Merry Christmas to you! ~beth |
