A grain of sand moving along the beach One in a billion with no power to move on its own Winds blow it up in the air Only to have the water bury its weight on it Water tries to glue it into a rippled mold Then to have the tides recede into sunlight Opening up cracks which filter down into single identities To be taken on another path And in the individuality of one single form Others will continuously merge Joining a single forming A beach survives D.Lester Young (10/30/95) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle) Written in Indiana |

We are those grains of sand, millions intermingled. One grain can never make a beach, and one human heart cannot live alone. |

I am enjoying the way you look at things...I haven't been around for a while to post a response, but I watch from the wings... you're a poet worth watching...thank you for sharing this! |

Interesting, how you compared a grain of sand with an individual here on this earth. However, together we all make something, it can either be good or bad. Very creative! Randy Meador a life lived unexplored is a life not worth living. |

(sigh) BRAVO!!! Yes, we are all individuals, and not one of us is the same, and it takes more than one to make a change to affect us all, in a confluence of harmony and inspiration to the world. (sigh) Your wonderful words always are filled with wisdom, I love them all! (big hugggsssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Leslie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
