I keep searching for the peace
that I once found in you,
but you are no longer him
I'm afraid that it's true.
He once was a fine
and upstanding young man
but unlike you he
would never have ran.
Away from his troubles
he quickly did flee
just a shadow of the man
that he used to be.
He used to walk
so proud and tall
but I'll be damned if again
I will watch him fall.
I pray that his soul
shall never cease
and that he will come back
when his soul finds his peace.
