Hair as dark as death turns to silver Her image in the mirror brings a shiver A face as smooth as silk turns to paper of sand Once soft and gentle have become skeleton hands Tomorrow once seemed a milenium away She sees in the image that tomorrow is today Years and memories locked away inside her heart Pondering friends and loved ones whom would depart The image in the mirror shows a heart tattered Oh how quick the elegant image would shatter For tomorrow was truly today and the time has come to put the mirror away |

(sad sigh) Oh Stevie, such a haunted feel of despair fills these words! My heart goes out to this person and I pray that her image can again be polished with hope and love and she can be healed from her memories! (sigh) So sad but well-written, dearest friend, we all love you so very much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Stevie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

It is so hard to look into a mirror of regret...*sigh* A sad piece indeed, but a lesson for us all. Well done! |

Oh, I want to talk to this woman!!! The wisdom and knowledge she must have! We live in a spin cycle existence where we can't see the beauty of ourselves, sometimes. I love old people...they know so much. They have answers to so many things...my heart just aches with the image of her pain and reality. |

This is very impressive, Stevie... You are a true poet in every sense of the word....but please put another "l" in millenium. Now.....why are you telling me to put my mirror away? I rather like the look of my greying hair and my skelatel hands which come from my extreme dieting. Seriously, this is a great piece, and I really loved it! copyright2001 Lyra Nesius |

Some do see tommorrow in the mirror today, were you inspired by the Harry Potter film which has a mirror having such magic qualities?Nice, thoughtful piece Stevie. |

A thought-provoking, visual, and poignant piece, Stevie. (If I may suggest replacing "whom" with "who"...). -MVS "Your focus determines your reality." --Qui-Gon from The Phantom Menace |

Stevie, put away that mirror before you break it and come out to play with me...I'll play nice I promise sorta. Keth Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
