Though I stand at the edge of darkest death
Yet nor will my courage ever leave me
My Lord shall now enfold me in his arms
Evil shall forever be vanquished.

The angels of the Lord shall sing my name
And I shall boldly go to where he leads
For I know his Heaven shall be my home
And all his heavenly wealth shall be mine.

His doves of peace will always sing my grace
And scented oils will rest my weary eyes
No more the wicked Hades of bitter war
And I shall rest forever in his arms.
