Perhaps

Perhaps in some future cause, I’ll bring your mind to pause.
Perhaps in some future time, I’ll touch and ring your chime.
Perhaps in some time above I’ll have you as my future love.
Perhaps, perhaps beyond the taps, I’ll make the lapse collapse.

Would you, could you share my mind
A Shangri-la that we could find
A place beyond the mundane thing
A place of green and ever spring

Perhaps in some future day, perhaps in some future way
Perhaps in some future morn, perhaps in some future dawn
Perhaps by some future shove, perhaps in some future love
Perhaps, perhaps beyond the taps, I’ll make the lapse collapse.

I promise you to share your mind
I promise you this place to find.
I promise you eternals much
I promise you forever’s touch.

You have my ever full adore
I cannot promise anymore.

For as the sun would round the earth
as each new day is given birth
you grant me well my lovesome's worth
for I would rage before the dearth

but with each flutter of your bye
you bring complete one lovesong's sigh

shoot, you've gone and inspired me again...

Well, this is just a big ole friggen*SIGH*waiting to happen

my oh my ... Sy oh Sy ... *sigh* oh *sigh*
Good Grief ...you really dont play fair Stinky ...
Now hows a girl supposed to resist this? *L*
I was just getting ready to run out the door to the grocery store and then I find this verse of adore. *S*
I dont need no sugar in me tea this morn...this is so sweet Im on a sugar rush.
OH and Stinky....all these "perhaps" you speak of--you dont have to wait for "taps"
you have already kept all these promises...and then some.
Trust me ...
*winkiewinkie*
me

PS:
I just had to laugh at this line...

"Would you, could you share my mind"

You are brave doing the "would you could you" rhymes after what it inspired the last time LOL
Dr Seuss is still recovering from my mangling of his word play.   ROFL

Would I could I share YOUR MIND?.....

OH YEAH!!!!!!

(does that include walking barefoot on your beaches of understand?) *L*

There is a phrase inspiring many in here of late from the challenge Lady put up ....

This poem from you brings it to mind....

"You are there ... here with me"

Sy,
those last two lines and the candles on the perfect cake, they light up the poem.

especially the 'lapse collapse' line

To all the wonderful poets that responded to the poetry, my humble thanks and love. I will read and respond to yours when I can.
I try to put one poem in a day. Since there are so many members of the forum alot of good poetry just disappears. Forgive me if I cannot respond to all. Thank you my friends.

JM,
Now you are a whole other matter. You cannot contain butterflies and I would not, even if I could. So I will continue to follow you through the fields of colver and wonder at the aura of your hue.

Boy that was a lot of promises there and I have to tell you that I haven't met a man yet that could fulfill all those so if you can do all that, I am sending you the airfare LOL *wink* just kidding JM you put down that baseball bat will ya?

Oh heavy sigh this was what in Canada we call a real good "reeler" (as in reeling them in) and I don't mean fish either!  LOL    Very romantic there my friend.
