Accidental touch
of passing brush
Created more than a doorway
A portal
Where slight of hand
became unnerving

Even when settled
In long routine
Quietly, I accept
Eyes to mate
Jolted in catch of breath

You walked away
with my mind
trailing
beaten pathways
of aimless, meandering
In and out
of footfall’s memory

Senses flickering notions
of possibility
If only...an hour’s freedom
to breath across
contented yeild

Crushed in the midst
of another doorway
An entrance
To deepest sanguine
written on walls
of illicit halls

Locked behind
perfect timing
perfect caress
of eyes slightly
closed in pleasure

By request. Thank You!

(big hugggssssss) Oh Regina, this poem reminded me of that Peter Gabriel song "In Your Eyes", where all your instincts return just by looking into a loved ones eyes. (sigh) This is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, there is always love and comfort shining in eyes, and love they reflect set us free briefly in joy. (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet Regina, I love your wonderful words! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

My, my .... a pleasure to see by your eyes.
I tried to pick a favorite line but they all fit too well. I would have to agree with Sandra ... the last verse does have a special hold.

Simply beautiful *s

I don't know how I missed this. You have such wonderful depth and such a wonderful ability for relating it rawly and passionately in your poetry, Lady.
I love this!

Dear Regina, yet again a wonderful write that you have shared with us all. The eyes are wonderful portholes to our soul, showing our utmost feelings and truths, each beckoned thought and desire.

Great work Regina,

Regina,
Dang, I wish I had more time to spend here.  I do so enjoy your work when I find it.  The eyes, indeed.  If you don't find it there, then it probably isn't.  Liked the imagination I found here:

"Senses flickering notions
of possibility
If only...an hour’s freedom
to breath across
contented yield"
