Snowbound

Looking out
at where we once walked
where we had hugged
where we had talked
a special place
felt by my heart
lost in snow
falling, we part

The coldness massed
the snow so fell
our words fell short
we could tell
what once was warm
has grown a chill
two hearts, so in love
now grown ill

Confusion storms
still wind increased
love subsided
happiness ceased
times drift in waves
some lost, some found
it finds us trapped and cold
snowbound

Craig, this is very well written but so sad.
Why must love end?  I know you don't have the answer...I'm just rambling today.....but, wanted to say how much I liked this one!

Darn, you've given "falling snow" a whole new meaning!

*sigh* you have described it perfectly. It feels snowbound when it happens. I just prefer to make snowbound more romantic. *sigh* My heart goes out to you, Craig. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Craig, being left out in the cold can really make this most painful season of the year.
Your imagery is always delightful, even when the tone of the poem is sad.

(sad sigh) Oh Craig, my heart goes out to you, my heart cries to feel the sorrow of your heart! (sigh) Sometimes love can be weathered and it's not meant to be, but there is a true love that He always prepares for each of us, and your heart is destined to sing with the joy of love forever, and bring spring to your heart! (sigh) Always listen to your heart, and you will achieve anything! (sigh) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Craig, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Craig...this expresses a very great depth of
sadness and loneliness.  I hope you have not
been experiencing this...Your poetry is
simply outstanding...and if you express your
feelings verbally half as well as you write
them...you will win...

Craig,

I have to echo Magnus's thoughts.. I hope this isn't how you are feeling.  This is such an emotional peice.. so powerful. But all your work is like this... so good

Tara

Hi Craig,

The imagery coupled with writing skill made this a powerful piece of work, and yes a very sad topic indeed to write about, hope all is well, happy holiday's.
