My friends, "December's Flame" is my gift to all of you. . . may the spirit of the season be with you, in you and all of your loved ones, not only now, but the whole year through. . .

Burning within each of us,
The flame flickers through the year.
But reaches its height this last month
To spread the warmth and cheer.

The flame is high for all to see
And offers warmth and love
Greatly needed this time of year
A gift from angels up above

But when the New Year comes in,
That flame inside dies down
The warmth becomes embers
And smiles become frowns

Should we hold the flame this way
In the lanterns of our hearts?
Do we not know that once out
It's hard for it again to start?

So my wish for you and yours
Is a simple one, it's true
Keep December's Flame within your hearts
To shine the whole year through

Such a wonderful gift will not live at the bottom of the stack for long. This needs to be read by everyone as it is everyone's gift.

You know,this is a wonderful poem, with great meaning. But I find my flame nearly out over the holidays.Wonder why that is? I always breathe a great sigh of relief when New Years is passed .
