The Nature of ..Me Does distance make the heart grow fonder, or make it ache from space between? Does silence breathe the hush of darkness or mute the feelings failure means? What is it I am looking for? Why do I lose the calmness felt, experiencing fading highs. Into the shadows must I melt. From solid to this liquid state so softened, pliable I rest awaiting emptiness to call, dissolving into nothingness. Does it always have to rhyme? Not this time, not in this way. I'm in a flux this morning's rise, a surge perhaps will flood my day. And rein me in or is that reign or maybe it's the rain we need. I know not why, the dampness grows without the drops the sky does feed. It floods my thoughts and wets my skin with myst of passion, bathing me. Bedewed I am, as I arise and pen my pain for all to see. Although... To understand the nature of my feelings, this is secondhand. At intervals I ramble on, wondering where my thoughts will land. Upon you not, I hope sometimes. Absorbing me would be a stain, impurities, immersing you in colors of me once again. To reason with me when digressing as I hike a bit with words, I lose direction, stroll the blues and walk the silent thoughts, unheard. I've laundered thoughts to cleanse my will, been satisfied with discontent. Does every thought repel the need to stop myself from this torment? Words, my words just saunter by invisible inking, blue on blue. Distantly I'm close at hand reaching out to feel of you. ~Wynter "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul." (J.Garland) [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 11-16-2001).] |

"From solid to this liquid state so softened, pliable I rest awaiting emptiness to call, dissolving into nothingness." "I've laundered thoughts to cleanse my will, been satisfied with discontent. Does every thought repel the need to stop myself from this torment?" This is absolutely splendid Maureen! You have created so much incredible phrasing within this piece. Wonderfully descriptive and creative thoughts ... with such indepth pondering ... oh how I can relate to this. I loved where your sentiments and mind flowed in this verse. Excellent indeed! Best wishes, /Kit |

Dear Maureen, I loved this, the best that I have read on this night, wonderful feelings expressed and the flow of rhyme and words were great. You are a true poet, with a gift that many would love to have. Will be much enjoyed for quite a while. Sincerely Rick |

Let it rain. A weary stillness permeates your words. Rest your mind but not your pen. This was good. |

This is very good indeed. And, very well written. Sometimes, distance doesn't make the heart grow fonder. |

Kit..if you can relate to this then you need a hug or two *s Some days the words come fast and furious..this was one of those times. Some say I am too passionate..if in real we met you would agree and wonder how I can fit into this world, as I, myself am trying to figure out. Rick..what a nice response..you honor me. Thank you so much for making me feel I have shared something worthwhile today. PG, I pen for you my thoughts to share whether overly emotional or not trying my best to stay in form someday hoping to be sharing a happiness in reality. skoysl..do you remember? RSWells...I WISH my mind would rest..and my heart too. My pen is always willing..a little less now than a year ago, thank G*D..or I would be posting 10 a day. Thank you, your comments are always welcome. *s SmartChick...Distance would be fine as long as the contact is there...thank you ctowen..time was all I had..and with thoughts rushing through me I had to post a few.*S I am not a mystery really..although I am told I am simply complex. I do enjoy your poetic responses Craig. They share a smile Nancy~ I am a very intense person, especially of late. I try to control myself, but I have had pent up feelings for so long they are exploding now. Sometimes that is a fault of mine..one of many. thank you ((hugs)) ~Wynter "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. |
