Today I cried, tears of missing you ache
wondering how much without you, I could take
I smile each day ,hope for you the best
keep these I need you still feelings, suppressed

memories fresh, like it were yesterday
my heart still has much, needed to say
some words of I’m sorry, songs of endear
little bits of laughter, whispers of I wish you were near

and I know somehow that you are ~ there, here with me
as I keep you in my heart for all eternity
so I dried my tears, on a sniffle and a sigh
resigning to the fact, I’ll never tell you good-bye

You met the challenge well..it reminds me of my Grandma and of someone else I'm still trying to forget after many years.  I always seem to relate to your poetry, well expressed

Take care,

Well you just managed to meet the challenge in poetic perfection and sum up mothy me totally. The mirrors in that first verse alone are blinding.
beautiful write of longing Sea...
your ache muse gave you a gem.

Its not like you to say sorry,
I was waitin on a different story.
This time I'm mistaken ...
for handing you a heart worth breaking.

I don't know what the challenge was, but I think you have certainly risen to it with this one. You touched some very vivid memories for me with this piece.

This was my favorite stanza. It was like I could feel these words as if they were written by my hands.

I know your emotions, little one, and you brought them here, there, front and center.  You should be very proud of your efforts.  I know I am.  Well done!
