The heart of you

0 posted 2001-12-11 02:24 PM

Looking out the window at the land rolling by,
She remembers his touch, the look of his eyes.
She strokes her soft hair as he did that last night,
Touching her heart until the morning's first light.

Outside the window, the scenes shift and play.
But, in their reflection, she remembers that day.
The day when all he knew was his love for her,
Ever since then, her life has just been a blur.

For all that mattered was the love in her heart.
The love for him that had been there from the start.
It was a love that shone brighter than the sun,
And she knew, deep in her soul, that he was the one.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

"What light through yonder window breaks?"

This is a step back into time...it's lovely

You do write, beautifully, Romeo. This made my heart smile and my eyes water.

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

This is quite lovely, and I know of one who will treasure it, besides myself, that is...

Thank you!

Sweet Romeo!   You don't write here often enough. I guess once in a while we all fade back into the picture a little bit, but when you come out of hiding, your words splash beauty across this tapestry of poets.   This was wonderful, but perhaps there's more?

I am many.

Tis a beautiful thing you write Romeo. I can picture the scene so vividly. You do have the perfect pen name for your writings. I hope there is a Juliet to appreciate them too.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
