Hello Passions, this is just some poem I wrote like months ago....I randomly chose to post for this for no reason....I just hope y'll like it though...if not, just let me know and I'll find something different for y'll to read...peace and one love!

It's a mans' world
as man suceed or fail,
make a difference in life,
or end up in prison or jail
with a number of wasted years,
attached to your life
because, you played stupid
and refused to live right
and now, your new wardrobe is,
black and white stripes.
And as you lay and rot in that cell,
I have no sympathy for you homes
because, every man need to understand
and accept the responsibility of their own
and see that, the consequences of their actions,
could send them to a life of imprisionment,
for an act they could prevent.
And as you lay in that cell,
you're feeling the backlash now
and I bet, you wanna backtrack now
as you've got your head to the ground
replaying that scene, in the back of your mind
wishing that, you could turn back the hands of time
wishing that, you hadn't comitted that crime
wishing you hadn't, pulled the trigger of that nine
and wiped away, another black brother
of yours as well as mine
as you're wishing those tears,
wouldn't fall from your eyes
because, you thought you was tough
but, tough men don't cry
so basically, your a boy trying to be a man
and because of it, you've just jeopardized
your future and your relationship with your wife
as she just told me over the phone
that, she's had enough of your crap
and she's fixing to pack her bags and leave
and find a man who's gonna support her needs
and most importantly, a man with maturity
cause as of now, you seem to have none my son
as you've fallen to the hypnotic powers of the gun
but at least, you have regrets for your crime
and hopefully, you've learn from your mistakes
and handle the situation better next time
cause, it's a man world
that's ruled by grown men not little boys
so if you wanna play and be carefree
then I suggest, you find yourself a toy, homeboy!

Wow Nate! This one has so much truth in it!
People should be more cautious and think of consequences before taking action. Not just men, women too! It's crazy how a little argument can escalate into something huge if you don't stop yourself! Someone once told me, either you control your attitude or it controls you! Words to live by in my book!
Very good write Nate!
much love,

I'm feeling this poem! A lot brothers hear in Brooklyn need to read this because they think taking lives and acting like thugs is a way of life. Thanks for this truth.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh my gosh, I don't know what to say, for my words too reflect Joanna's, and I also wish that we can all look deeper and feel no shame in expressing ourselves and letting the tears flow so we can love one another closer and not be governed by such rigid discipline! (sigh) I wish we can all open our hearts and let love and compassion shine to all! (sigh) So sad but true, sweet Dogg, your words are outstanding! We all love you, sweet friend, I can't wait to read more of your marvelous words! (big hugggssssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dogg, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nate, it is so easy to say "not me!!" But it can happen to every one of us if we lose sight of ourselves.  I have a dear friend in prison and never dreamed in a hundred years that would happen!  One wrong decission and then another and another.  Thanks for sharing this with us and lets hope we ALL decide to think before we take that wrong step.....  Mother_Earth

I love poems that create a picture and I could feel this man and his agony.  Great paint!!

We all reach that time in our life when we meet that "won't happen to me moment".  It's a horrible place.

I wish moments like these didn't happen, but indeed these are the ones that shape and define us the most, whether we want them to or not.  It's what we do with them that is the key!!

Sounds very much like you told it like it is.  No one could expect less than the truth, when needed.

Well done!
