What have I to offer?
What have I to give?
I asked myself these questions
as I saw signs of Christmas on the street I live.

Mistletoe and Holly
decorates every street corner light,
and oh how the tree does shine
in the towne square at night.

I look into the sky
at the stars so far away,
and I think about a manger
where a child was born on Christmas Day.

I wonder what I could ever give
to return this gift from above,
what have I to offer
in comparison to his love?

I can only give praise
and be grateful for the season,
as we share this special time
and thank God for it's reason.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
