Listening to every heart

To Turn and Behold

she turned about
and around
and glimpsed,
one early morning,
at the feel of
a thought,

although songbirds
were welcoming
morning,
Ra's rays were
dancing with
dust motes,
and Breeze still
smelled of Starshine
and leftover Moonlight,

she beheld the
Stranger
that had been
harboring
this bizarre, inner
period
for some time,
and whom
had finally made a
quiet entrance,

this peculiar
individual that
seemed as unique
in stature as
any one
seemingly female
might be,
if they could
be unique from
others' comparisons,

so she turned,
to face the
Stranger of her
inner soul,
on hearing
a faint sound of
lonesome
thought,

and in her reason
she felt
the warmth of
an exclusive
embrace
which allowed
as to let her
discern

~ it would be
all right
for all
time ~

and confidently
welcomed into
her heart
this new friend…

feeling then
again as One

as she
acquiesced
Age

I like this much, Kari! The reference to Ra was a nice change of pace for "sunshine"--big grin...thank you for the thoughtful read!

I felt I was doing everything she did in this poem. Excellent.

I loved not only this nice poem but also the way in which it was formatted.
