Seeking Wisdom

I looked into the eye of wisdom
trying not to blink
Nor to divulge with yearning,
questions posed upon the brink

Her pupils smiled back at me
Through deepness of their pools
As if to say, you know by now
It’s life that teaches fools

I tried to hide embarrassment
That she would surely think
I were a fool, but as she turned
She gave a little wink

(smiles) Oh Elizabeth, we all love you so very much! Wisdom shines in your words, for more of what we see is how we understand the world! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, and I am always so lucky and happy to read the words your golden heart shares! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Liz,

I still await the wisdom that the years are supposed to bring.  Nicely done and I especially liked the wink.  Nice touch!

Sometimes we already know the answers but need to be reminded where to look for them.  Well done my friend.

There is wisdom in this poem...you convey this message quite clearly. The verses were clear and uncluttered. Good read!
