Long ago when I was
a little girl
in a crowded Spanish plaza
a stranger wrote me
a poem
It was the first
time I had heard
a poem and the
only time and last time
anyone wrote me a poem
I was impressed not by his words
but by the way he wrote the poem
on a napkin
with a pencil
He read it outloud
while his partner played a
soft melody in his guitar
Then handed me the poem
I still have it
I can't share it with you
because I can't post someone
elses work
But I can tell you this
I love his gesture of
writing me a poem

(smiles) Sooooooo beautiful! (sigh) I'm impressed by the way he could write a piece so quickly and write such a beautiful song from it! (sigh) Sooooooooo beautiful, it would be so exciting if I saw someone like that! (kiss on cheek) I love you and your beautiful words, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Walker, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

hey, im new here... i chose this to reply to because it is the first peom i've come across with an open structure.... i liked it very much... your subject was enough to carry the writting.... that's how i believe the best peoms are written.
