When I hear the marching band
When I see the flag go by
I feel a lump in my throat
And tears come flowing from my eyes

When the crowd is gathered
And the game is just about to begin
And I hear the Star Spangled Banner
Some more tears find their way down again

When senior boys and senior girls
Clothed in graduation gowns
March joyfully down an aisle
Tears take a trip down again

When a man and women is standing
Before the altar
Saying the I do's
Tear's cut loose again

When relatives arrive from distance places
And I am there to meet them at their arrival
Tears show up again
As emotion takes control

Tears of sadness usually overtake me
On sad occasions.. but there always seems to be
A special reserve for overwhelming emotions
Of pride and joy, and happiness

Those are the kind of tears I don't mind crying
Over and over again

Oh yes! I cry at all these things too! My high school graduation was just this past june and I cried with happiness but also with a bad of sadness for leaving behind all the friends I made. (hugs)

the purest emotional signals are tears...they show the most love, the most pride, the most pain..

your tears are a tribute gift....well written

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Songbird, I knoew these feelings ever so much too, for I am graduating from high school next June, and I can't help but cry when I think of what I am going to say and think when I leave behind all my favorite teachers behind, especially when I'm in the run for valedictorian and wondering how I'd speak through all those tears had I won the honor. (sad sigh) But all the while I look to the future with a smile, wondering what great things I can do in college, and I cry tears of joy too with the tears of sadness! (sigh) This is soooooo touching, sweet friend, we all love you so very much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Songbird, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
