Beneath the words you whisper to me it is the loving soul yearning to be free Free to soar in the blueness above amidst clouds white, as the wing of the dove Shackles of earth, bond you down keeping cemented firmly to the very ground But earthquake shudder of a soul to awake can split terra firma with a life to make Beneath the warmth within your touch is pulsating hope you want so much Hope there is more than what you see knowing confines are not meant to be So I whisper gently back to you open your heart and do pursue With your touch, open the door stifle not your soul any more The sun will shine, the moon will glow breezes will blow with words so slow Words that bring the smile to your face for they give to you the saving grace |
