The Resident Her youth Forever lost A haze of memories Tucked away in an aging mind Left behind with no one Forgotten soul Alone "My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" - Motley Crue, Home Sweet Home [This message has been edited by rosepetals25 (edited 11-15-2001).] |

Tara...so lovely and yet so sad. So much said in so few words. Good one! ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before.~ |

one of the things i always enjoyed the most about the time i spent with my grandfather is the stories that he told my brother and i. he could remember seeing things first-hand that we had only read about in history books, and it was fascinating to hear the account of someone who was there. one of the truly sad things about growing old is the loss of so much knowledge - not only to the young, but to the old as well, knowing there used to be a memory there where there's only a hole now. this is true, but no less sorrowful because of it. |
